Description
Our cardamom comes from the cool, misty slopes of the Western Ghats, where the pods ripen slowly in the shade of forest trees. Each harvest is sun- and air-dried with care, then hand-sorted pod by pod for an even, vivid green and a full, rounded shape.
Crack a pod and you will find sticky, dark seeds that release a bright eucalyptus-and-citrus aroma — the mark of fresh, oil-rich cardamom. Use it in chai, payasam, biryani, Scandinavian bakes or a simple cup of coffee.
Why whole pods
Ground cardamom loses most of its fragrance within weeks. Whole pods protect the seeds inside, so the flavour you get in six months is the flavour you bought today.
How to use
- Masala chai & coffee
- Payasam, kheer and Indian sweets
- Biryani and pulao
- Cardamom buns & baking

Storage & packaging
Keep tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Crack pods just before use.
Resealable kraft pouch with clear window, or glass jar with walnut or brass lid.
How many pods should I use?
For a cup of chai, 1–2 lightly crushed pods is plenty. For a biryani serving four, 4–6 pods.
Why are some pods paler than others?
Natural variation in drying. Colour is a sign of care, but aroma is the true test – crush a pod and smell it.
